For two years of spending my college life as a nursing student, and still two more years left (this is actually my second course), I never had a notion that it could be such an uptight, hectic, mindblowing and eyebug-forming course. Come to think of it, I frequently sleep at 2am and woke up at 6am just to browse all my notes in preparation for everyday quizes, exams, return demos and other activities, plus memorizing some of the medical terminologies which our clinical instructor told us to exploit our “long-term memory”, as if I had those. Anyway, I just wanna dig some of the second-year nursing top 5 major subjects which caused me a tremendous headache and an out-of-this-world experienced. Hope you can relate to some of this.
1. Microbiology and Parasitology – I consider this as the toughest and hardest subject during my second-year. I never appreciated microscopic organisms anyway. But to my astonishment and without expectation, I was able to handle this subject with an above average grade.

2. Anatomy and Physiology – This is one of my favorite subjects. I like body systems and the interrelated organs in it. I still read it`s book even though I am already done with it.
3. Health Care I and II – Ever want to know how to master proper injection, bed bath, wound care, medical and surgical handwashing and oral medication? I guess this subject would do the job well.
4. Fundamentals of Nursing – Learn how to familiarize vital signs taking with this interesting subject.
5. Mental Health – This subject is similar to Psychology.
